§ 01 — Overview

Fonteyn Barrel Sauna Red Cedar Panorama 1800–2400

The Fonteyn Barrel Sauna Red Cedar Panorama is what happens when you take a well-built outdoor barrel sauna with a glass door and design it properly for people who actually care about where they sit and what they look at while they are in it. Available in the Panorama 1800 and the larger Panorama 2400, both models are constructed from natural red cedar, a timber chosen specifically for outdoor use because of its resistance to moisture, its natural oils, and its ability to hold heat efficiently without warping or cracking over time. The barrel shape does the same job it always has in a good barrel sauna, circulating heat evenly from the curved ceiling downward so the entire cabin reaches a consistent temperature without cold spots near the benches or excessive heat pockets at the top.

What genuinely separates this from a standard barrel sauna is the panoramic glass front. The barrel sauna with panoramic glass is designed for people who want to look out at their garden, landscape, or open space during a session rather than staring at a flat wooden door. If you have a garden with a view worth looking at, a garden sauna with a view like this makes every session considerably more enjoyable, and frankly, it looks exceptional from the outside too. The Panorama 2400 is a red cedar barrel sauna, a 6-person capable model for larger households or anyone who wants the option to share sessions with family or guests, while the 1800 suits smaller groups and tighter garden spaces without giving up any of the visual appeal. As one of the most visually distinctive large outdoor barrel saunas on the market today, this is a sauna that earns its place in any garden that takes outdoor wellness seriously.

§ 04 — Asked & answered

Questions about this cabin.

Does the cabin fit through a standard doorway?

Yes. Our cabins ship in flat panels, each under 142 × 110 cm, and assemble inside the room. Our installer Tom completes the build in three to four hours.

What electrical supply does it need?

A dedicated 16-amp spur on a 230V supply for two-person cabins. Single-person cabins run from a regular 13A socket. We arrange a free pre-install electrical survey for every order.

Is the wood treated? Will it off-gas?

No treatment, no glue, no off-gassing. Built from FSC-certified Western red cedar, mortise-and-tenon joined, and finished only with food-grade tung oil where the bench meets skin.

How long does it take to warm up?

Twelve minutes from cold to 60°C in hybrid mode. Eight minutes in pure infrared mode.

What's included in the price?

The cabin itself, full installation by a Telos maker, a starter care kit, and the lifetime warranty. Delivery, install, and the 60-night home trial are included for every UK and Ireland postcode.
