A workshop,
not a warehouse.

Telos builds saunas slowly, by a team of nine, in cedar from a single FSC-certified forest in Cumbria we have worked with since 2018. Every cabin carries the maker's name. Every owner has the workshop's direct line.

§ 01 — A letter

"We started Telos because the saunas we wanted didn't exist."

The market was split — flat-packed kits from unnamed factories on one end, and bespoke joinery the price of a small car on the other. Nothing for the home you actually live in. Nothing made by people you could meet.

So we built what we were missing. Three cabins, one infrared blanket, a few thoughtful objects. Slowly, by a team of nine, in cedar from a single FSC-certified forest in Cumbria we have been working with since 2018. Every piece is signed by its maker. Every owner has the workshop's direct line.

We don't plan to be ninety. Smallness is the product.

§ 02 — Principles

Six things we won't change.

The promises that keep Telos honest. Every business has them; few keep them. These are ours, and they are why we are slow.

— 01

One forest

Every plank of cedar comes from a single FSC-certified forest in Cumbria. We know our forester by name — she sends a card at Christmas.

— 02

No middlemen

We design, finish, and deliver every cabin ourselves. The person who hands you the keys has touched every plank. No drop-shipping, ever.

— 03

Nine makers

Telos is nine people. We don't plan to be ninety. Each maker signs the work; you can ring any of us, and the number is on the inside of the door.

— 04

Lifetime cover

For the original owner — heater, frame, electronics. Not 'lifetime of the product'. Yours, for life. Wood and finishes covered for ten years.

— 05

60-night trial

Sleep with it for two months. If it isn't the right thing for the room, we collect it ourselves and refund in full. Eleven returns in seven years.

— 06

Quiet marketing

No flash sales. No countdown timers. No urgency theatre. The right pace is slow, and the right number is the price.

§ 03 — A history

Seven quiet years.

2018
Chris and Jake meet over a paper on heat-shock proteins. Decide to build the cabin neither of them can buy.
2019
First Telos finished in a Cotswold shed. Spends a year being lived in, refined, and broken on purpose.
2021
The Aalborg launches. The promise: fits through any door, plugs into any socket.
2023
The workshop moves into a 540 sq m barn outside Stroud. The team grows to nine.
2026
The Cotswold Single — the first cabin built for one.
§ 04 — The nine
