Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed: May 2026.

This accessibility statement applies to teloswellness.co.uk. The site is run by Telos Studio Ltd. We want as many people as possible to be able to use the site, find the information they need and place an order without difficulty.

1. What we have done

We have built the site to take account of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Specifically:

  • You can navigate the site with a keyboard alone, using Tab, Shift-Tab, Enter and the arrow keys.
  • Headings, lists and landmarks are coded as such, so screen readers can move between them.
  • Text reflows at 320 pixels wide and zooms to 200% without loss of content or function.
  • Colour contrast for body text is at or above 4.5:1 against the background; large text is at or above 3:1. We continue to test pages where we use brass on cream backgrounds.
  • Form fields have visible labels, error messages and help text.
  • Most photographs of products and our atelier carry meaningful alt text. Decorative images are marked as decorative.
  • Videos in our Journal are published with captions; transcripts are provided where the video carries information not also given in the surrounding text.
  • We do not use auto-playing audio or video with sound on by default.

2. Compliance status

We claim that this website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 AA. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform with the standard. The known issues are listed below.

3. Known issues we are working on

  • Mega-navigation: the desktop navigation menu opens on hover for sighted users; the keyboard equivalent (focus open) is implemented but does not always restore focus to the trigger when the menu closes. Target fix: third quarter 2026.
  • Product configurator: the cabin configurator uses a custom slider for dimensions. Screen reader announcements for value changes are not yet polished. Target fix: second quarter 2026.
  • Journal embeds: a small number of older Journal articles include third-party social media embeds (X, Instagram) that do not always pass keyboard-only operation. We are replacing these with native quotes and images.
  • PDF specification sheets: some downloadable PDFs were created in 2023–2024 and have not yet been retagged for screen readers. We are reissuing these as we update each product family. In the meantime an HTML alternative is available on request from support@teloswellness.co.uk.
  • Brass body text on cream banner: in two banner placements the contrast measures 4.4:1 — just below the 4.5:1 threshold. We are revising the colour use to bring it above the threshold.

4. Disproportionate burden

We do not currently rely on the disproportionate burden exemption.

5. Content not within scope

Third-party widgets we embed (for example payment options from PayPal or Klarna) are outside our control. We choose providers whose own accessibility we have reviewed and we ask for improvements where we find issues, but we cannot guarantee their conformance.

6. Alternatives

If something on the site is not working for you, or if you would prefer to place an order or ask a question another way, please contact us:

  • Email support@teloswellness.co.uk
  • Telephone +44 7383 567 839 (09:00–18:00 GMT, Monday–Friday)
  • Post: Telos Studio Ltd, The Old Mill, High Street, Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire, GL54 1BB

We will reply within three working days and will work with you to provide the information or service you need in an accessible format — large print, plain-text email, audio, or in-person if you can visit the atelier.

7. How we tested

We tested the site against WCAG 2.2 AA using a combination of manual review, the axe browser extension, the WAVE evaluation tool and Lighthouse, and short tests with NVDA on Firefox and VoiceOver on Safari. We last tested in April 2026. Our front-end developer carries out accessibility checks as part of every release.

8. Reporting accessibility problems

If you find something we have missed, please tell us at support@teloswellness.co.uk with the subject line “Accessibility”. We will acknowledge within three working days and aim to provide a fix or workaround within 30 days for issues that block your use of the site.

9. Enforcement

If you contact us with a complaint and you are not happy with our response, you can refer the matter to the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC), which is responsible for enforcing the Equality Act 2010 and the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 in respect of public bodies. Although those regulations do not apply directly to private retailers, the EHRC is still a useful first port of call for advice.
