The footprint of around 180 × 150 cm requires a dedicated alcove or spare room rather than a corner of a bedroom; ceiling clearance is the same 195 cm as smaller cabins.
Heating is via eight to ten carbon emitter panels totalling 2.6 to 3.0 kW. Most four-person builds will run from a 13A plug if the household ring main has spare capacity, but the manufacturer's specification often recommends a dedicated 16A circuit for longer sessions and to avoid voltage drop. A qualified electrician can fit one straightforwardly. Warm-up from cold takes thirty to thirty-five minutes; the cabin holds temperature well once reached.
For households where multiple adults will use the sauna across an evening, a four-person cabin is more practical than a series of solo sessions in a smaller cabin — the energy cost per session falls because the cabin only warms once. A small home gym can incorporate one without dominating the room. Yes — every four-person cabin in our range arrives flat-packed, with each panel sized to clear a 76 cm doorway. The largest individual panel is the back wall at around 180 × 195 cm and one face thick. Most installations need two adults to manage the panels comfortably.
How long does assembly take?
Three to four hours for two competent adults with normal household tools. The cabin uses tongue-and-groove and clip-joint construction; no glue or specialist hardware. The electrical connection is a single plug-and-play harness — the heating panels arrive pre-wired and just need plugging in.
Can it be used by one person regularly?
Solo users find a four-person cabin gives a more spacious feel, with the option to lie flat across the bench. The trade-off is longer warm-up and slightly higher energy cost per session. If you live alone and rarely host, a one- or two-person cabin is more efficient for daily use.
What's the running cost for a session?
