Fonteyn Barrel Sauna Rustic Red Cedar
The Fonteyn Barrel Sauna Rustic Red Cedar is one of the most naturally beautiful and practically built outdoor barrel sauna UK options available today. Crafted from genuine western red cedar outdoor sauna-grade timber, this is a wood that is naturally resistant to moisture, warping, and decay, making it genuinely well-suited to year-round outdoor use in the UK climate without constant maintenance or treatment. The distinctive garden sauna barrel shape is not just for looks, either. The curved structure allows heat to rise and circulate evenly throughout the cabin, meaning it reaches temperature faster and holds it more consistently than a standard box-shaped unit of the same size.
Available in sizes from 4ft through to 8ft, the Fonteyn barrel sauna with heater included gives you a complete Finnish barrel sauna for home use straight out of the box without needing to source heating separately. Whether you are setting it up as a standalone indoor or outdoor sauna barrel in a garden, on a patio, or in a sheltered outbuilding, this red cedar barrel sauna is built to deliver the real traditional sauna experience that more basic flatpack units simply cannot match. From the rich natural scent of the cedar wood to the efficient, even heat, every session feels exactly how a proper sauna should.
What owners say.
Questions about this cabin.
Does the cabin fit through a standard doorway?
Yes. Our cabins ship in flat panels, each under 142 × 110 cm, and assemble inside the room. Our installer Tom completes the build in three to four hours.
What electrical supply does it need?
A dedicated 16-amp spur on a 230V supply for two-person cabins. Single-person cabins run from a regular 13A socket. We arrange a free pre-install electrical survey for every order.
Is the wood treated? Will it off-gas?
No treatment, no glue, no off-gassing. Built from FSC-certified Western red cedar, mortise-and-tenon joined, and finished only with food-grade tung oil where the bench meets skin.
How long does it take to warm up?
Twelve minutes from cold to 60°C in hybrid mode. Eight minutes in pure infrared mode.
What's included in the price?
The cabin itself, full installation by a Telos maker, a starter care kit, and the lifetime warranty. Delivery, install, and the 60-night home trial are included for every UK and Ireland postcode.
